A magyar történelmet — különösen a szabadságharcot — bemutató kötet szerzője fiumei kereskedő, majd a Magyar Kereskedelmi Társaság igazgatója volt. Kossuth bizalmával visszaélve elsikkasztotta a társaság pénzét, majd Párizsba menekült. Itt a magyar ügyet népszerűsítő folyóiratokat indított, majd a bukás után kiadta a fenti művet.
Korabeli, aranyozott gerincű félbőr-kötésben. 269 mm.
