Veress e kompozícióját Hermann Müllernek és kamarazenekarának (Berner Kammerorchester) ajánlotta. A bemutatóra 1951-ben került sor, amelyen a szerző és felesége játszották a zongoraszólamokat. Veress levelei egyértelműen tanúsítják, hogy e mű különösen fontos volt számára.
