Péczeli József (1750–1792) református lelkész, irodalomszervező egyéniség, műfordító és költő. Lelkészként haláláig Komáromban működött. Egyházi elfoglaltsága mellett létrehozta a Komáromi Tudós Társaságot. A felvilágosodás korának franciás műveltségű írója. Az első magyar népszerű tudományos folyóirat, a Mindenes Gyűjtemény (1789–92) szerkesztője volt. Főleg fordításaival szerzett nevet magának.
Mindkét kötet korabeli, keménytáblás papírkötésben, az első kötet kötése erősen viseltes. 196 mm.
